Medium red. Red berries and flowers on the nose, with a hint of blood orange coming up with air. Taut, chewy and fresh, offering nervy red fruit flavors and mounting spiciness. Finishes with good clarity, grip and a slightly tart edge but with lingering spice notes. Agnes Levet thinks the recent bottling has shut this wine down for now. (JR) (2/2011)
