Deliciously lush flavors of raspberry pâte de fruit, plum compote and blackberry coulis are melded in this red, with intense red and black licorice and roasted apple wood filling in on the finish. Features the solid, charcoal-fueled grip of the vintage. Best from 2015 through 2030. JM (10/2013)

Ruby-red. Fresh red fruits, flowers and garrigue on the highly perfumed nose. Juicy and precise, offering vibrant raspberry and cherry flavors and a touch of blood orange. Packs a serious punch but comes off lithe. Finishes long and sweet, with gentle tannic grip and lingering floral and spice notes. JR (2/2013)

More concentrated, the 2010 Domaine Jean Deydier et Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Clefs d'Or (same blend and elevage as the ’11) offers up outstanding aromatics of black cherry liqueur, liquid mineral, spice-box, pepper, and garrigue aromas and flavors. This medium to full-bodied, richly textured 2010 has loads of class and poise, as well as juicy acidity, good tannin, and plenty of length. Enjoy it over the coming decade. (9/2012)
