89-91 Allen Meadows - Burghound

This is markedly more elegant with its spicy and pure mix of violets, plum, black cherry and sandalwood nuances. There is fine richness and volume to the lightly mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that also does a good job of buffering the firm, long and well-balanced finale. This is a quality Vosne villages and worth your consideration... from 1.5 ha of vines situated in Aux Saules, La Vigneux, Les Barreaux, Ravioles and Les Jacquines. (1/2015)

Moderately saturated medium red. Very cool, pure aromas of raspberry and underbrush. Distinctly saline in the mouth, with the fruit a bit clenched in the early going but already nicely delineated; notes of coffee and blood orange emerged with air. Still a bit youthfully tough on the end but not dry. Here's a village wine that demands aging. (Drink between 2020-2027) ST (3/2016)
