It offers an excellent introduction to the family of wines at Château Latour and receives the same meticulous attention as the estate’s other wines.

Merlot plays a larger role in the blend, while the careful inclusion of press wine contributes depth without compromising the wine’s pure fruit and refined texture. Although Pauillac de Château Latour is generally the most approachable of the Château’s three wines, it also rewards extended cellaring.

Tasting Notes:

"This is the best showing yet for Latour's 2021 Pauillac. Intensely perfumed, the 2021 has gained weight and body since I last tasted it. Crushed flowers, black pepper, leather and dried herbs are just starting to open in the bouquet. Dark and rather virile, the Pauillac is super expressive today. The elevated presence of Cabernet Sauvignon comes through loud and clear. Brisk acids and beams of supporting tannin are also quite prominent, largely because the 2021 doesn't have the mid-palate richness of more opulent years. Light chocolate and hazelnut on the finish. Drink or hold." 93 - James Suckling (4/24)

"The 2021 Château Latour Pauillac is rock-solid, with a lively, juicy style that still brings a touch of Latour power and density. Cassis, black raspberries, graphite, and floral notes all define the aromatics, and it's balanced, elegant, and delicious. It will drink well for at least 15 years." 90 - Jeb Dunnuck

"Cool and fresh blue fruit tones on the nose. Smooth - the tannins are so soft - this is a really easy going expression, juicy, salty strawberries with an element of chalkiness that makes it slightly less vibrant but still full of flavour. Relaxed. A great effort for a third wine from the challenging 2021 vintage. Has a very classic, cooling, savoury, good-with-food expression. Balanced and really harmonious. 70 IPT. 6.9% press wine. 24.2% of production.
