It is a distinctive expression and offers impeccable balance. This is light- to medium-bodied with excellent focus on the mid-palate. There's finesse of tannins here, which are almost lacy in texture with a powdery veil on the refreshing finish. You could drink this now but it has the sophistication for laying down. (Drink between 2025-2038)

"Originally from Tournus in Burgundy, Aurélien Revillot is a new talent in Bourgueil. Revillot makes impressively handled wines: five reds and one white from his four total hectares. The east-facing Les Aubuis is his largest parcel at just half a hectare, a cooler spot that receives the weaker morning sun. There is a long maturation policy in the cellar: the reds are bottled after 20 months in 228-liter barrels. Aubuis and Brunetières hit the market four years after the vintage, while Grand Mont is released after five years. All fruit is harvested and taken to the winery in small cases. Handling is very delicate, which is reflected in the purity of the wines. In the latest releases, the hot 2020 vintage shows some elevated alcohols, but the 2021s are superlative. Revillot is a rising star. Get in early."

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0092/1419/7817/files/images_fcd0feb8-93b5-46a2-9ea1-c0b962159340.jpg?v=1783109602
