2018 Thibaud Boudignon Anjou à Françoise...(750ml)
An homage to his mother and father. From a parcel of 37 year-old vines in St-Lambert-du-Lattay, planted on shallow soils of grey schist and rhyolite. So focussed yet detailed.
The young Thibaud Boudignon wears two winemaking hats in the Loire. He is the winemaker at the sizable, twenty-seven hectare estate of Château Soucherie but, on the side, he farms about 3.5 hectares of his own vines in Anjou. His parcels lie right on the border of Savennières, with a small percentage of his vines in the AOC of Savennières. Definitely one of the most exciting figures in wine today. These are very special wines. His dry Chenin Blanc wines are some of the best you will ever come across.
