(Louis Jadot Chapelle-chambertin Grand Cru (d) Red) The 2017 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru offers captivating briar and subtle marine influences on the nose, one of the most nuanced from Jadot this year. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and silky-smooth texture, offering raspberry, wild strawberry, white pepper and touches of sage toward the finish. I suspect this will gain more complexity with bottle age because there is already impressive persistency considering the vintage. (Drink between 2022-2045)
