2017 Domaine du Roc des Boutires Pouilly-Fuissé En Bertilionne (750ml)
"The Parinet family of the Château du Moulin-à-Vent purchased this six-hectare estate and produced their inaugural vintage in 2016, which I reported on last year. Blessed with a high average vine age, they are trying to rehabilitate the vineyards—long farmed using herbicides—and moving in the direction of organic farming. The grapes are harvested by hand, pressed intact and see long fermentations after a brief settling. These are textural, classy renditions of the appellation, thoughtfully vinified, and this revitalized estate represents and exciting addition to the Mâconnais firmament."

"A generous bouquet of marzipan and ripe pears that's subtly framed by new wood introduces the 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé En Bertillonne, a medium to full-bodied, deep and muscular wine that's textural and blocky in profile, with ripe underlying acids and a heady finish. Its structure and concentration are impressive, but it will merit a little bottle age. 92+ points" - William Kelley (Wine Advocate, Aug 2019)
