2019 Domaine Vincent Paris 2019 Cornas Granit 30 (750ml)15 3 0 0
"The wines at this domaine, established in 1997, strike a balance between modern and traditional styles, showing freshness and forward fruit, with well-managed tannins and oak, as no new barrels are used. The soft-spoken Vincent Paris also tends to bottle on the early side 'to preserve the wines’ freshness and energy.'" - Josh Raynolds (Vinous)
The name of this wine, "30", references the gradient slope of the vineyard.
"Mineral-driven aromas of ripe black/blue fruits, peony, olive and exotic spices on the nose. Sappy and focused on the palate, offering gently sweet, mineral-kissed cherry and blueberry flavors that deepen slowly with air and show sharp delineation. The blue fruit note drives an impressively long, spicy finish that's given subtle grip by fine-grained, even tannins." 92-94 points - Josh Raynolds (Vinous, March 2020)
Lovely ripe freshness to the fruit, really bright summer pudding aromas. Mouthcoating fruit and tannin, very fine tannin. Acidity is surprisingly marked. Plenty of ripe tannins, they're quite lively, textural, fruit-derived. Very juicy, very fruity, concentrated and ripe. No great depth, very accessible. 10-year-old vines, all destemmed." 93 points - MW (Decanter, Oct.2020)
