Monteraponi is an ancient medieval village of Radda. Their vineyards are at an altitude of 1,300-1,600+ feet above sea level. The entire property extends over an area of two hundred hectares set in a natural amphitheater with only twelve planted to vines. They plant only indigenous varieties. The wines are made in a very natural way, aged in large oak, and are neither fined nor filtered. These are thoughtfully made, distinctive wines and some of the best examples of Chianti Classico.

Campitello is the more classic to Chianti Classico that draws from the oldest vines of the winery that sits at about 1,400 feet. It is a Riserva that is aged in large oak barrels for around 26 months.

"Lustrous ruby. Quite closed on the nose and luscious on the palate. Build-up of complex red fruit, tangy acidity and finely sculpted tannins. Lots of stuffing and yet strikes a fantastic balance." 18/20 - Walter Speller (jancisrobinson.com, Feb. 2020)

"The 2017 Chianti Classico Riserva Il Campitello is a beautiful, radiant wine. Succulent red cherry, red plum, crushed rose petal and blood orange infuse the 2017 with striking layers of nuance that continue to develop over time. In this warm, dry vintage, the 2017 has an extra kick of richness, but there is plenty of Sangiovese acidity to keep things in balance." 94 points - Antonio Galloni (Vinous, Sep. 2020)
